Child safeguarding

Every child we work with is kept safe.

ChildWell Plus Foundation is committed to protecting every child we work with from abuse, neglect, exploitation, discrimination, and harm. We maintain and enforce a Child Safeguarding Policy that applies to all trustees, staff, volunteers, consultants, and partners.

This statement is published in place of the full policy, which is an internal document.

Who it applies to

Everyone who works with the Foundation or on its behalf: trustees, staff, volunteers, consultants, and partners. Every volunteer reads and follows the policy before working with children.

Photographs and stories

We do not publish images or stories of children without informed, written consent from a parent or guardian, and we never publish information that could put a child at risk. When we do publish:

  • A child's full name, school, home, or exact location is never published.
  • Where a child is old enough to understand, the child is asked too, and a refusal is respected.
  • No image shows a child in a way that is undignified or could put the child at risk.
  • Images are never paid for or sold.
  • A parent or guardian can withdraw consent at any time; images are removed from the website and our social media within 14 days.

When a concern is raised

Every concern is taken seriously, handled in confidence, and dealt with under the Child Safeguarding Policy. Where the law requires it, concerns are referred to the relevant authorities.

Part of how we are governed

The constitution requires the Foundation to maintain and enforce a Child Safeguarding Policy. It sits alongside its commitments on conflicts of interest, data protection, and non-discrimination.
