Privacy notice
What this website collects, and why.
ChildWell Plus Foundation collects only what you choose to send through the forms on this website, and uses it only to answer you. This notice explains what that means, in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
Who we are
ChildWell Plus Foundation is a non-profit company limited by guarantee registered in Ghana, number CG054920826, with its office at C0-219, Johnson Street, Bolgatanga, Upper East Region, Ghana. The Foundation decides how the details you send are used.
What we collect
- The contact form: your name, email, phone number if you give it, what your message is about, and the message.
- The volunteer form: your name, email, phone, where you live, your skills, when you are usually free, and anything you add.
- The partnership form: your organisation, name, role if you give it, email, phone if you give it, the kind of partnership, and your message.
- The newsletter: your email address.
Nothing else is collected. The website sets no cookies and does not track you from site to site. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records pages viewed without cookies and without identifying you.
Why we use it
To reply to you, to contact you about volunteering or a partnership you asked about, and to send the newsletter you signed up for. Your details are never sold, and never used for anything you did not ask for.
How your message is handled
Messages sent to the Foundation are handled by its designated officer, in line with the Foundation's data protection policy. If answering you would mean involving another organisation, the Foundation asks for your consent first, unless the law or a child's safety requires otherwise. The Foundation aims to reply within five working days.
Who else handles it
A form on this website is delivered by Web3Forms, a form service, which passes your message to the Foundation's email inbox. The website itself is served by Cloudflare. Both handle your details only to deliver the website and your message.
The office map on the Contact page is drawn on this website from OpenStreetMap data; opening directions takes you to Google Maps, under Google's own privacy terms.
How long it is kept
Messages are kept in the Foundation's inbox for as long as they are needed to answer you and to keep a record of the Foundation's work. Volunteer and newsletter details are kept until you ask for them to be removed.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you can ask to see the details the Foundation holds about you, to have them corrected, or to have them deleted, and you can ask the Foundation to stop using them. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
